Camille’s Place

Our Place, DC realizes that there is a lack of emergency transitional housing for women who are coming out of prisons and jails. The women are faced with many issues that cannot be addressed without adequate housing. We are striving to address their needs as they return to society. So, we will provide a loving and supportive environment for the women that enter our program.

Camille’s Place is dedicated to the memory of a former participant of Our Place that lost her life during her struggle to reintegrate into society. It is a residence for women who have been incarcerated and are homeless upon their release from prison. It is a place of healing, nurturing, and new beginnings. Camille's Place is a home where women that live there will be treated as individuals. It will offer the women there a different way of life. We have worked with many women over the past eight years and the thing that they most ask for is a safe place to live upon their release. Camille’s Place is that safe place.
